George Byron Captain America Signed Vintage Album Page Autographed in 1944
Originating from the "Norman Shaffer" autograph collection, this album page features a bold and clear black steel tipped fountain pen autograph of the impossible to find actor George Byron. Byron had roles in many movies, but for the meticulous collector, he had a part in the first Catain America movie in 1944. I have yet to see another George Byron autograph out there for sale. Reverse of the album page features an autograph of Joan Fontaine. These are very nice early career examples, with it being signed in 1944. Just flawless, HUGE, non inscribed signatures. This will be the great example to matte and frame with a vintage photo. Album page itself measures 6 x 4.5 inches in size.
The "Norman Shaffer" autograph collection features over 200 autographs that were gathered between circa 1943/1944 in the Hollywood area, contained within three separate autograph books that will be sold page by page over the next week. The third and fourth image (not included in the auction) shows the album that this specific autograph was previously in and the ownership page. Look for dozens of other very rare vintage entertainment autographs to be for sale this week, including Judy Garland, Charlie Chaplin, Lou Costello, William Frawley, Errol Flynn, as well as many very difficult to find character actors from movies such as It's a Wonderful Life, and hundreds of others.
